Specialist Services for Children, Young People and Families

Transforming Lives: Empowering Children and Young People to Heal, Thrive, and Succeed.

What is The
Damara Project?

What is The
Damara Project?

The Damara Project brings together two charities — SERICC and SOS RC — with over 40 years of combined experience providing front line services to survivors of sexual violence. Working across South and West Essex, we offer children, young people, and their families holistic, specialist services to help them recover, rebuild, and thrive.

The Damara Project envisions a future where children, young people, and their families affected by sexual abuse have timely access to specialist services that create environments for healing and enable recovery. We work to prevent re- traumatisation and to ensure that children and their families are treated with care, dignity, and understanding throughout the justice process.

Our Mission

To provide accessible, comprehensive, and child-centred support services that empower survivors, prevent further harm, and inspire lasting change in communities.
